Student submissions being sought

Peter Koch and Jennifer Litzelman, heads of the N.C. Museums Council student committee, are still actively seeking proposal submissions from students relevant to the "Poster Session" planned for the upcoming Council Annual Meeting & Conference in Fayetteville, March 4-7, 2008.

The deadline for submissions has been extended to JANUARY 15, 2008.

IF YOU ARE A STUDENT: please visit here (or go to the main www.ncmuseums.org front page and click on Students in the top bar, then take the link to the Poster Session page). Consider whether you would like to participate in this manner, and if so, create your submission by January 15th. If you have any questions, e-mail student@ncmuseums.org for more information.

IF YOU ARE A MUSEUM PROFESSIONAL: do you have any students working for you who might be considering an involvement? Can you encourage them to make that commitment? Or do you know of any students in North Carolina colleges or universities who might be interested, to whom you could forward this message? Please consider how you might encourage further student involvement with the Council.

The students who have been involved with the Museums Council are often the future of our industry, and often become involved with North Carolina institutions. If there is a way you can help expand this year's Poster Session, please do!
